“Scanning” Old Artwork with the Panasonic S1R and 50mm f/1.4

Photography

While visiting my mother, she has been saving some old sketches from her Aunt for well over 6 years now. The paper had become quite brittle, and most of the drawings had faded over time.

We laid the sketches down on a cutting mat with a grid so I could line up / correct for camera angles in Lightroom. I wasn’t prepared with a lighting setup and tripod, so we put these in a room with diffused window light and I handheld these.

All in all, I’d say it did the trick quite well, and in 50 megapixels to boot!
