My Good Friend Ronald Took Us Fishing!

The girls have been asking me to take them fishing for quite some time. Neither Vanessa or I know the the first thing about fishing, we don’t have a boat, and don’t own any gear. However, our friend Ronald not only is an avid fisherman, but has access to a boat too! I asked if he would be willing to take us fishing and teach our girls, and he was all too happy to oblige! We each caught a dogfish!

For this trip, I ended up bringing along the Canon EOS R5 and shot everything in the Standard picture profile – no editing. For the lens, I brought along the 24-105mm f/4. The goal was to capture the moment and not have to fiddle with many settings. I’m pleased to report that the autofocus of the R5 did just that!

It was so much fun to get together with friends. We spent the whole day together on the boat and then for fellowship and BBQ (carryout) in Ron’s backyard. Truly a special day!!!
