It’s official – ProRes RAW on the Nikon Z6 isn’t worth it. The footage is soft, Final Cut Pro X is slow to edit it, if you apply a sharpening filter in FCPX it causes glitches in the video, and it’s cumbersome to use the Atomos Ninja V. N-Log 10 bit however is quite nice.

I’ve been selling off my Sony gear and replacing the 16-35mm GM with the Canon EOS R 15-35mm f/2.8 for the EOS R. This is the lens you need for the heavily cropped 4K video.

Shot using the Faithful color profile, Rode VideoMic Pro Plus, and the 15-35mm f/2.8 RF lens. Edited and graded using DaVinci Resolve for PC.
