These photos were taken with the Olympus 45mm f/1.8 Micro Four Thirds lens. I used Lightroom to do some basic exposure adjustments and crops. Then, I exported the files to Alien Skin Exposure 5 to give them a final look.
The lens is certainly does not focus as fast as the 17mm 1.8 lens, however the clarity of the photos is superb for such a small and inexpensive lens.
I actually purchased this lens Used-Like New from a brand new seller on Amazon. It was only $300 and that was without tax and two day free shipping from Amazon Prime.
After using the lens for a full day, I’m not sure it’s a focal length that I really enjoy using as a walk around lens. You need to have quite a bit of distance from your subject and that isn’t always possible with my two little ones.
I’m thinking that I might actually return or sell this lens and use the money to buy something a little more useful like a zoom. The only problem is that I really enjoy f/1.8 and the quality of primes.
