Sometimes an iPhone is Better

Today was my 43rd birthday. It was a great day! The girls wanted to go to the zoo and Chocolpolis – sounded good to me! I brought along the 70-200mm f/4 Panasonic lens and got some terrible shots. It was midday sun, dirty glass between a lot of the animals and myself, and very harsh shadows. The best photos of the day were taken after we left the zoo. For those, I used the iPhone Xs Max. It really does a great job with photos, and makes a great always with you camera.

We did get to eat at one of my favorite spots in Seattle though – Mean Sandwich. I had their signature sandwich: THE MEAN SANDWICH – THICK CUT CORNED BEEF, PICKLED RED CABBAGE, YELLOW MUSTARD, MINT, MAPLE SYRUP. Sounds weird, but oh so good!

Even though the photos I took with the 70-200mm were awful, I’m still quite optimistic that this lens will be a keeper.
