The plan was to go out to the museum and then out to lunch (without the kids) downtown, but we were only able to do the museum since the restaurant wasn’t seating customers – yes, we checked the website. Fortunately, we were able to eat out at another restaurant that day.
Still, we had a nice time returning to the museum after all this time. Recently, I picked up a used 50mm RF f/1.2 lens for my EOS R5, and I’m loving this lens. It’s responsive, sharp, and accurate – all of the things that the EF mount variant wasn’t.
The white background is actually shot on the Tacoma Museum of Glass Dale Chihuly Bridge. There’s an area with a white background, and if you purposely overexpose the shot, you can get a nice effect. It’s one of my favorite places to shoot portraits. If you look closely, you’ll see a little bit of glare / reflection on the white background.
