Fuji 80mm f/1.7 First Test Photos

Initial impressions of this lens – wow! Fantastic image quality, and while focusing isn’t terribly fast, it’s not hideous either. Reports on some Facebook forums suggest it’s unusable, but I disagree. While you need time to compose your shots and allow for time to focus, it’s quite doable.

These were shot in midday sun and edited in Lightroom.

There definitely is something special about the images produced with the Fuji medium format system. They have a depth to them that isn’t reproducible...
