Washington Summer Con - First Visit
Today was my first time going to any Con, and I was super impressed from start to finish.
- Free parking, and lots of it! Are you serious?!?!
- Security guards were chill and respectful. They didn’t make me spill out my water bottle, rummage through my backpack, make me take everything out, etc. It was nice to be treated like a normal person.
- The Star Wars experience was a lot of fun. The people manning the booths, wearing costumes, droid makers, etc. were all class acts! It was really a pleasure to visit!
- The vendors I interacted with were a pleasure to work with. I even picked up a Generation 1 Jetfire - been looking at these on eBay for years.
- Talked with a few security people regarding taking photos of the panels and they were quite accommodating. Can’t say enough positive things about the staff. They really put up with a lot of stuff, but nevertheless were fantastic.
- The videogame hall looked like it would have been fun to spend all day there, but I wouldn’t dare sit down on one of those comfy couches - I’d miss all the other stuff.
- Lastly, the visitors that I interacted with were super chill and nice people. Really a good vibe!
If my schedule allows it, I hope to be back next year!
This was my first outing with the new Fujifilm GFX 100S II. Shot the images using the 55mm f/1.7 and edited using the Fuji Reala Ace preset in Lightroom.
